Eastern Region Judo Camp - a first for Cambridge

The two-day Judo Camp, hosted by Happidojo in partnership with Melbourn and Tora Judo Clubs, was designed for children eight years and over of all abilities - from novice and graded players to seasoned young competitors.

As the first of its kind, the Eastern Region Judo Camp presented a world-class team of coaches, giving youngsters the chance to train with former champions and national coaches such as Jean-Paul Bell, Danny Kingston, Colin Fordham and Dave Southby.

Colin Oates, the UK’s No1 and current British Open and Commonwealth Champion was also on the mat to teach a session and the World Class Start Training Squad, the up-and-coming elite of our area, were put through their paces too.
